do all signers need to be present?

Yes, all individuals whose signatures need to be notarized need to be physically present before me at the time of the notarization.

Can you give me legal advice?

No, by law I cannot offer legal advice or help you prepare your documents. Unless, I am also a licensed lawyer.

Can you notarize a copy of a document?

I can certify a copy of certain original documents, such as power of attorney. Verifying it is a true and accurate reproduction. However, birth, death and marriage certificates cannot be copy-certified by a notary public. You would have to go through your county of vital records office or the California Department of public health. Yet, I can help you notarize the sworn statement of your application if requesting an authorized copy.

What are your notary fees?

My notary fees are $15 per individual signing as well as a travel fee starting at $30 within a 10 mile radius of my location. Fees are based upon number of signatures needing to be notarized and the type of service required. Estimate total will be discussed prior to notarization.

Do you accept expired ID?

Yes, if your expired ID was issued in the last 5 years, I can still accept it.
